Friendly and attentive staff, who do their best to comfort their guest, secure hotel!

Our beer got stolen from the fridge, so make sure you put a label on it, as we forgot :(

The rooms are ok, local - albeit the direct environment is disconcerting - good, because close to the center, the young staff is very friendly. If you do not need breakfast, then this hotel is a good choice.

breakfast not too good... when we try to get into the not too big common place, there were about 15-20 youngers, in the kitchen + 6-8, they was cooking from own raw material, the selection is very week, toast and jam, we had to escape from this area immediately...

Helpfull staff, and 24/7 tea, coffee and toast!

Great hotel, clean, great facilities and helpful staff. What more could you need?

Hostel is quite close to a club, so there is a problem with noise!

Friendly staff and anvironment. The people at the reception are really helpful.

A simple suggestion. In a dormitory of 6 people two plugs in aren't enough. I'd add some more and definetely I'd add one in the bathroom.

This is a good hostel if you're on holiday. Certainly not recommended for business though:if you're a light sleeper, don't go for the double bed, because although it was nice and hard, every time I moved or turned it bounced and I would wake my partner up. Also, hostel is right next to the train station, so if you're a light sleeper it's a no, no.

The en-suite bathroom in the dormitory was quite OK and not too small. Although the choice was somewhat limited cereals, yoghurt, milk, bread, marmalade, juice, tea bags, instant coffee were sufficiently available in the morning and coffee, etc. could be made all day.

There were no lockers in the dorms.

I liked the character of the building. Nice staff as well.

The room was really cold at night and it wasn't easy to figure out how to turn the heat on. Also it took a very long time to check in. Reception at first gave us 1 big bed (we requested otherwise) and then gave us keys to a room that was already occupied, but finally satisfied us by giving us two separate room.

Misinformation about booking. Staff was not ready to listen to me when I complained. Awful experience, never ever again.

There's no many hostels in Birmingham, so it's helpful if you don't want to spend too much.

It's very far from the main transport stations (Coach Station, New Street Station, Moor Stree Station), as well from the City Centre. The quarter where it's placed is not very pretty and badly illuminated. Even the building is not very amazing: inside it's dark and give you a sense of claustrophobia. The early breakfast is quite poor and the room is too hot.

I have never visited such a wonderful hostel before.

I really liked the room, building design of kitchen down stairs etc was really nice for a hostel.

I room was really close to the train line and I'm a light sleeper.

Very nice, clean, and functional. The place is well taken care of by the staff, and I think that the guests respond accordingly and as a result there is a really nice atmosphere.

Just come back for a long weekend in birmingham, 4 girls on a night out and shopping. We had stayed at hatter's before and loved it. This time was the same!! Brilliant 2 nights there and joined in the bar crawl on saturday night and had bbq on sunday. Very good place to stay, good value for money, good size rooms and clean and breakfast available till 10am, and toast all day, and good place to meet other people on their travels. We shall be coming again very soon. :)
